Schott Model G1S TG1S (Tall Sizes) Flight Jacket

The G-1 has been the primary leather flight jacket for Naval Aviators dating back to the 1920's. Marine Aviators, who received their training under Navy direction, also wore the G-1. For a period of time after beginning late into WWII, the G-1 leather flight jacket was even supplied to Army airmen. This 27" thick supple antique lambskin G-1 jacket has a detachable sheepskin collar, two-way front pockets, an intricate lining depicting the story of "Wings of Gold". This jacket is imported.

The first aviators adopted leather as their material of choice because of it's durability, warmth, and good looks. In the spirit of American individualism, American soldiers preferred to decorate their leather bomber jackets with unit patches, nicknames and paintings. This heavily decorated 27" G1 flight jacket is made in thick supple antique lambskin, with detachable fur collar. The outside patches are authentic replicas of those worn by aviators. The detailed liner tells the story of the coveted "Wings of Gold", a rigorous two year flight school training program to which Naval Aviators are subjected. This jacket is imported.

Our 32" Classic 32 oz. Melton Wool Naval Pea Coat, military anchor buttons, hand warmer pockets, vented back and nylon quilted lining. Our Pea Coat is made just like they made it in the Navy; with 32 oz Melton wool. Our wool is 75 percent reprocessed wool, 20 percent nylon and 5 percent other fibers. The contents are interlocked and pressed together befor the wool is cut to ensure maximum protection against the elements. In our 50-plus years of producing pea coats (also known as peacoats or pea jackets), we have perfected a wool jacket that is stylish enough to wear with a suit, but strong enough to protect you from whatever winter sends your way.
